Central Oklahoma Opera League, COOL, is gearing up for a great opera season! We have a mission to promote attendance and support opera in the central Oklahoma area by: Hosting previews of Tulsa Opera, OCU, OU and UCO opera productions Providing local university opera students the opportunity to attend professional opera performances Providing local secondary students the opportunity to attend performances given by the local universities . OU, OCU and UCO Providing a lending library of opera DVD's Sponsoring a website with links to opera information and news from around the world. Our season begins with Tulsa Opera's preview of Tosca, scheduled for Sunday, September 16th. Please mark your calendars; you won't want to miss the excepts from this exciting and well-loved opera. All previews start at 3:00 p.m. and, with one exception, are held in the Parish Hall of All Souls' Episcopal Church, located on the Northeast corner of N.W. 63rd Street and Pennsylvania, In Nichols Hills. Enter the building at the South entrance under the portico. Our preview for OCU's production of Baby Doe will be held on the OCU campus. If you have not seen the new Wanda Bass Center at OCU this will be a great opportunity to tour this wonderful facility. All our 2007-2008 preview dates are as follows:

Our site has links to opera websites from all over the world. Also on our website is a listing of the DVD's available from our library. The DVD's are free of charge to members of COOL. To check out a DVD, contact our librarian, Anna Eddings, 329-8195, aeddings@ou.edu. DVD's are also available at the previews. When you have finished viewing the DVD, quickly we hope, return it to Anna in the prepaid return mailer. This is a great way to see these well-loved operas in the comfort and convenience of your own home.
COOL sponsors a bus to the Tulsa Opera Sunday matinee performances. We leave at 10:30 a.m. from the Northwest parking lot of Penn Square Mall. Even though there has been an enormous increase in fuel costs, we have not increased the bus fare this year. Please join us for a leisurely, stress-free trip to Tulsa. The matinee dates are:

We invite you to join us for this exciting upcoming season. Membership dues of $20.00 per year, single, or $35.00 per family, help cover the cost of administration, mailings, previews, website and our DVD library. A bus subscription for all three round trips to Tulsa Opera is only $75.00. A single round trip bus fare is $30.00. A Membership application is available in PDF from on the website.
